Marrakesh | Moroccan restaurant in Portland

Got surprised for my birthday to come here and I was blown away at how amazing the food was. Our waiter was very sweet, attentive and very excited about the food sold there. The Hare was delicious (even though had a lot of little bones, so be careful). The mint honey tea was incredible. Already trying to convince friends to come back with us.

If you want an *experience*, this is the place! From the decor, the hand washing ritual, the seating, it will have you talking to your friends about this place. First off, the lemonade is out of this world, kind of reminds me of kompot (eastern European juice from fruits), then the main course comes with a salad, lentil soup (my favorite), an appetizer and the main dish. I had the lamb couscous and my boyfriend had the hare. Both pretty tasty, I liked pretty much everything. To our surprise, even a belly dancer showed up for a bit. This was on a weekday, not sure about other days. Overall, good experience and service was great.

Experience is the word I would use. From start to finish, the moment you walk in the door to the last sip of mint tea. We took our kids for a birthday dinner. We ordered the Royal Feast, 5 course meal for each of us. Food is delicious. We ate with our eyes 1st and indulged till our bellys screamed no more.If you want to step outside your traditional restaurant and enjoy a restaurant that steps up and takes pride in what they serve, give this restaurant a try.Service was impeccable, and not once did we feel rushed. We closed down the restaurant.

We had a blast at this restaurant! Prices are great! You get a show and a meal for roughly $30 per person. You get the full experience of sitting low to the floor if you’d like. The food experience is fun and unique and comes in a full course meal. The belly dancer amazed me. She was very skilled, fit and beautiful. I loved all the colors of the place and the belly dancer’s attire. We enjoyed everything from the unique food, experience, the way the dining is laid out, the way they pour the tea and the music. I would say I would love to try a different main course. I ordered Tagine of Chicken Honey and Prunes for $32.95 which was Served with light honey sauce, almonds, prunes & sesame seeds. The chicken was sweet, moist and flavorful but it needed some kind of side vegetable to take down the sweetness, IMO. The prunes helped balance the sweetness a bit but I think a green vegetable would go great with this dish. Overall, we had a great time!

I love this restaurant! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful and every element of the 5-course meal service is excellent. I have enjoyed every dish I've tried here.

Went here with my girlfriend for a nice Moroccan meal. Everything was great and the server was polite, loved the vibe.

Hands down a must visit restaurant while in Portland. I enjoyed a date night here with my fiancé, though it is a great atmosphere for friends, or family also.

What a cool experience! We loved the food and being submerged into the culture and the design of the restaurant.

The food was amazing. The service was impeccable. Beau was our server and he had the most amazing personality. The performer was gorgeous and talented.
